Farmer-to-Chef-Initiative Holds 3rd Meeting |
Distributors to Present at August 16 Meeting
Farmers and chefs from Haywood County and surrounding counties are all encouraged to attend the third in a series of meetings to connect local farmers and local chefs. The meeting will feature a panel of local and regional food distributors, who each play a critical role in collecting local farm products and delivering them to local restaurants. The meeting will take place on Monday, August 16, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Laurel Ridge Country Club, 49 Cupp Lane, in Waynesville.
“This meeting presents a great opportunity for farmers and chefs to learn more about some of their best options for getting local farm products into local restaurants,” says Anne Lancaster, Project Assistant for the Buy Haywood Market Development Project. “We’re expecting a good crowd, but always welcome new faces.”

June 28 Meeting for Farmers and Chefs
(Waynesville, NC - June 15, 2010) - Farmers, food distributors, and chefs from Haywood County and surrounding counties are all encouraged to attend the second in a series of meetings to connect local farmers and local chefs. The meeting will take place on Monday, June 28, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at The Gateway Club, 37 Church Street in Waynesville.
