Grocery Stores and Restaurants

Through the Buy Haywood project, we are working to feature Haywood County tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers at various grocery store chains and restaurants in Western North Carolina.  Here are a few of the locations where you can purchase Haywood County produce:

  • Whole Foods Market
  • Fresh Market
  • Food Lion
  • Bi-Lo
  • Lowes Food Stores
  • Aldis Food Stores
  • Publix Supermarkets
  • Christopher Farms on Crymes Cove Road near Waynesville.

We expect to announce more of these local and regional sales locations in the near future.
To be sure you are getting fresh, Haywood County produce, look for the blue and green “Haywood County NC Mountain Grown” sticker or logo.  Please note that in some cases our products may not be clearly labeled at the locations listed above.  Either way, we encourage you to support these companies, because they are supporting our efforts to provide high-quality products to community-minded consumers.

If your favorite local grocer or chef isn’t yet offering Buy Haywood fruits and vegetables, please talk to your local store manager or restaurant owner and let them know what you want. If these businesses know that locally grown products are important to their customers, they are much more likely to make the switch to local products!
