Simple Crispy Radishes

Ingredients

1-2 bunches of local radishes
1/2 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
Generous pinch of sea salt

Steps of Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Thinly slice radishes—using a mandolin or slice carefully by hand. Place radishes on a parchment lined baking sheet. Drizzle with EVOO, gently toss to coat. Sprinkle with sea salt.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Flip radishes, bake for another 5 minutes and then lower the heat to 225 degrees and continue to bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are crispy and shriveled.

Chef’s Note: Substitute other local in-season ingredients for the radishes such as carrots, beets or apples to enjoy this delicious snack throughout the growing season.
